About PSE

About PSEBack in 1970, while working at Magnavox Corporation, a product engineer named Pete Shepley was well known for his passion for designing archery equipment in his lunch hour. Unbeknown to his fellow product engineers Pete Shepley would go on to found Precision Shooting Equipment (PSE) the largest privately owned archery manufacturing company in the US.

In the early days Pete designed his first compound bow. Within a week a three week period of introducing the bow to archers at an Indiana tournament he had received 900 orders through word-of-mouth.

PSE started in a 700-square foot building in Mahomet, Illinois and were one of the first five companies to obtain licensing for the compound bow under the Allen Patent. PSE remains the sole company out of the original five to still be manufacturing compound bows.

In 1982 PSE moved its entire operation toTucson Arizona. PSE facilities now occupy approximately 23,000 square feet of office space, and 120,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space, a far cry from its modest beginnings.

PSE is one of the archery industries leading manufacturers, holds twenty patents for bow design and archery products. They provide a full range of longbow, recurve and compound bows.
